2019 200 MW Agro-Solar Complementary Project in Quzhou, Zhejiang
The 200 MW Agro-Solar Complementary Project in Quzhou, Zhejiang, completed in 2019, is a large-scale agrivoltaic power station built on hilly farmland in Quzhou. It adopts the "power generation on the top, crop cultivation underneath" agro-solar model. Without changing the nature of agricultural land, the project realizes simultaneous clean power generation and economic crop planting.
Wuxi Chenglida Machinery Co., Ltd. provided the full set of customized ground solar mounting structures for this project. Considering Quzhou's undulating hilly terrain, humid subtropical climate, heavy rainfall and high summer temperature, the bracket system mainly uses hot-dip galvanized steel posts and AL6005-T5 aluminium alloy purlins, together with SUS304 stainless steel fasteners. The mounting frame is raised with sufficient vertical clearance, which reserves growth space for crops, facilitates ventilation and manual farming operations under the panels.
Our engineering team carried out terrain-adaptive structural design and calculation according to local wind load, snow load and slope conditions. The modular adjustable supports can adapt to different slope angles, reducing earthwork and foundation construction costs. Before shipment, all components passed salt spray anti-corrosion testing, dimensional inspection and static load verification.
This project has been operating stably since 2019. It delivers clean electricity while supporting local agricultural production, serving as a typical agrivoltaic reference case in Zhejiang Province.
